Presentation day

On Saturday the 19th July the children who participated in the London College of Music Examinations were presented with their certificate by the Mayor Councillor Jenny Henson. The children completed their Stage 1 while still at the nursery, they had a record number of distinctions and we were very proud of them. Stage 2 exams were taken by the reception children attending After School Music and Drama, again achieving very high marks. The Stage 3 exams were taken by Year 1 school children (also attending After School Music and Drama). The format of these exams were slightly different, as they were individual exams (a first for all of them). They came through with flying colours and three of the children have been awarded with special prizes because of the high standard they achieved. We congraulate all of them. A special thank you to their teachers Joanna, Richard and Caroline and also to their parents for their commintment and dedication.

Wedding bells in Spain

Mr and Mrs Parker's daughter Julia-Anne was married in Spain on July 12th.She had previously worked at the Queen of Hearts before going to Leicester University to do her P.G.C.E. She will be taking up a teaching post at Geddington School in September 2008.

'The bottom of the garden' Summer Concert 2008

Our Summer Concert 2008 'The bottom of the garden' was performed at the Rockingham Baptist Church on the 1st and 3rd of July.

All of the pre-school children took part singing, dancing and having a wonderful time. They also performed two French songs.

The concert was a celebration of their time in the nursery school and the confidence they gained shone through.
