Our Autumn Bonanza 2008

On Wednesday 12th November 2008 we held a Social Evening. Local businesses were invited to the nursery giving them an opportunity to promote their products. These ranged from jewellery, books, chocolates, toys, cards and many other interesting items. Parents and guests paid a £1 entry fee which included wine, nibbles and a fun filled evening.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle.
In total we raised £285.00 which will go towards our children’s Christmas party.
We would just like to say a huge thank you to all of the local businesses that exhibited, to those that kindly donated prizes’ and to our parents and guests who came along and made it a great evening!

Children in Need 2008

This year the Queen of Hearts Nursery School decided to 'Do something different'. We all dressed up as something beginning with our first initial. At the nursery we had, Spiders, Angels, a Bumble Bee, Al Capone, Obi Wan Knobe, Iggle Piggle, a chicken, reindeers, Red Riding Hood, Oliver Twist and many more.

We were so impressed with the effort the parents had put in for Children in Need that we wanted to show everyone. Many thanks to all concerned.

Clare leaves to have her baby

Clare came in to see everyone and say goodbye before she has her baby. We all gathered in the Rumpus Room and surprised her with a few gifts for her and the baby which were given out by the children - in turn Clare gave the nursery a gift - a sand and water activity tray which the children will love!

We want to wish Clare and Nathan all the best and lots of love and we hope to see her and the new baby soon, the children and staff will miss her.

Halloween 2008

The children has lots of fun on Halloween.

The little side, older side and staff all dressed up. They played in the spooky Imaginative Room, coloured and painted Halloween pictures and danced along to Halloween songs.
