More Past Pupil News

Isaac Carrington-Wathey

Isaac was a pupil with us from 1995 to 1998.  As a two year old, Isaac was always interested in music and now plays the piano, guitar and drums.  After leaving Brooke Weston with GCSE Music and A level Music Technology, amongst other qualifications, he has now gone on to study Music Technology at the University of West London.  Having already composed and recorded several pieces of his own, he is now looking to take his first steps into the music industry and is enjoying living life to the full in London.  Well done Isaac!  We look forward to following your career with interest.

Halloween Dress Up Wednesday 31st October

Just a little reminder for all our Wednesday attendees to come to nursery dressed up in your favourite fancy dress outfits this week.  We have a whole day of fun activities planned and there maybe a prize for the best dressed!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

It`s late and we are sleepy,
The air is cold and still.
Our jack-o-lantern grins at us
Upon the window sill.
We`re stuffed with cake and candy
And we`ve had a lot of fun,
But now it`s time to go to bed
And dream of all we`ve done.
We`ll dream of ghosts and goblins
And of witches that we`ve seen,
And we`ll dream of trick-or-treating
On this happy Halloween.

Pumpkins!

The children enjoyed deseeding and carving our pumpkin with the staff last week.  We are so lucky to have been given such a huge pumpkin - thank you to Sam's friend (you know who you are!) for donating this wonderful homegrown pumpkin to us.  Rob cooked up some culinary delights and after a few tweaks to Friday's menu, the children enjoyed pumpkin soup for afternoon snack and an amazing pumpkin pie for their dessert after tea.  Please click on the following pictures to enlarge them.

What do I do with this bit then?

We cut a hole in the top...

 Oooh what's that?

Sam shows the children the pumpkin flesh and seeds.

Happy Halloween!

Jeans for Genes Day - Friday 5th October

We are encouraging all our children (and staff) to wear their jeans or any kind of denim clothing or accessories for Jeans for Genes Day this Friday.  Donations of £1 would be kindly appreciated for this very worthwhile cause. More info on the charity can be found here: http://www.jeansforgenesday.org/

Thank you, once again, to all our parents for their support in our fundraising for very worthy causes.  We raised £75 for Jeans for Genes - thank you all very much!
