London College of Music Success!
Congratulations to all our children who took part in the London College of Music Early Years Examinations this year and thank you to all who attended our annual presentation on Saturday morning. The children performed a selection of their examination pieces and our after school class children (who took their Stage 2 & Stage 3 exams) performed exceptionally - well done! Our results included a few merits and a lot of distinctions so we are very proud of you all. We hope you all enjoyed your cupcakes afterwards as you all definitely deserved them. Thank you to our parents too for your constant support.

After School French, Music & Drama (LCM Stage 2 & 3)
Places are now beginning to fill up for our after school classes. Reception French is on Mondays at 4pm and is taught by Mrs Claire Woolley. What better age to learn a language - we have reports of families on holiday in France and children conversing at the table with the waiters so confidently!
Reception Music & Drama is on Thursday at 5.30pm and taught by Mrs Julia-Anne Coe, a teacher specializing in drama and assisted by Miss Emma Wittering. It is wonderful to see the children's confidence increase dramatically by the end of the reception year and take the Stage 2 LCM examinations.
Year One Drama takes place on Thursday at 5.45pm and is taught by Mrs Caroline Gulla, who specializes in drama and has written the nursery concerts over the last couple of years. The Stage 3 LCM exam is an individual one and many of 2012/13 pupils have recently passed with Distinction.
We are proud to have looked after your children and watched their development over the years into confident little people ready for their school years ahead. Thank you for your continuing support of our after-school programme.

Leavers Trip Thursday 18th July
Just a reminder to all our parents whose children are coming along on our annual Leaver's trip this Thursday. Please arrive at the nursery school by 9.15am at the very latest and please dress your children in school uniform if possible - this makes it a lot easier to identify everyone. It looks like its going to be a beautiful day so please don't forget hats & suncream - we are providing food & drinks for both children and adults. Have fun!
LCM Presentation Saturday 20th July 10am
If you haven't already booked your tickets for this please contact the office ASAP. If your child took part in the Spring & Summer London College of Music Early Years examinations they will be receiving their reports/certificates and performing a selection of their exam pieces for you. This will be rounded off in true Queen of Hearts 'Rumble in the Jungle' fashion with a cup of tea and a slice of cake! We look forward to seeing you there.
