World Book Day Thursday 6th March 2014

Please join us in celebrating the wonderful world of books this World Book Day! We would like you to join us in dressing up as your favourite character from a storybook. Please donate £1 and this will go to Book Aid International to provide books to libraries in some of Africa's poorest countries. Who knew raising money for Charity could be so much fun?!

Volcano Fun!

As the children on our older side have been exploring stories and fairytales, the Neverland Pirates have invaded our imaginative room! As pirates are quite interested in their treasure maps, on investigating deeper the children discovered volcanoes so we decided to create our own! Gemma used coke and mints which then fizzed up quite a bit when she gave it a bit of a shake. Unfortunately, our cameraman got so excited he didn't get the actual volcano erupting! However, you can see the mints start to fizz and the aftermath of the volcanic eruption. We had a few children in the picture who aren't allowed on the blog so unfortunately, no excited faces this time (apart from Gemma's!!).

Books Glorious Books!

We had a visit from Ian and his mobile library van last Friday to coincide with our topic 'Stories'. The children were able to browse and choose as many books to look at as they could in the time we had!

Technical Issues

Happy Chinese New Year!

This Thursday we will be celebrating Chinese New Year (officially celebrated on Friday but we have changed ours to Thursday!). To celebrate the Year of the Horse we will have a jam packed day full of activities and the children and staff will be treated to a Chinese meal courtesy of our wonderful cooks. We will be posting pictures of our fun and games, including a dragon dance, so please check back for updates.

Parent's Evenings

Advance notice of dates: Our parent's evening for our 3/4 year old side of the nursery will be on Wednesday February 12th and our 2/3 year side will be on Tuesday March 18th 2014. A list of available time slots will be on display in our reception soon. Thank you!
