Happy Halloween!

Its Friday 31st October and there are a few spooktacular activities going on at nursery today.  Everyone looks fantastic and has made a great effort to join in the fun today...here's a little peek...

Baby Rooms Official Opening * UPDATE * Photos added!

Our beautiful new baby rooms are going to be open for business on Monday 3rd November 2014.  This is a very exciting time for us and marks a new era for the Queen of Hearts.  Our parents, please note that we have also had a slight logo update which reflects the changes within the nursery - I'm sure you'll all agree with us that it looks amazing and still encompasses our vision for the future.  We will be opening the rooms up between the hours of 4.00pm - 5.30pm Monday 3rd to Thursday 6th November for our parents to come and look around but here's a little sneak peak for you...

 

Garden Work

As we're sure you will have noticed from the skip/garden bags in the carpark, our garden remodel is underway.  We are looking forward to this being completed in around 3 weeks by which time the children will have a lovely new sandpit to play in, complete with a sail covering.  We will also have artificial grass across the whole garden - how lovely not to have to worry about the mud and wet weather!  Other features will include a mud kitchen, storytelling area and our current pond will feature at the centre of our nature area.

Many apologies for any inconvenience caused in the car park - but hopefully the work will be finished very shortly.

Mrs Parker's Retirement Party

We are pleased to announce there is going to be a party to end all parties - namely Mrs Parker's Retirement Party!  Please keep Friday 21st November free in your diaries.  The party will be held in a private function room at the Kettering Conference Centre, complete with dancing to the one and only Bill Burton Disco and a finger buffet.  Tickets are £10 and can be purchased by contacting valsretirementdo@yahoo.co.uk

Miss Kerry's New Arrival!

We'd like to send our huge congratulations to our dance teacher, Kerry and husband Karl, who have welcomed their new arrival, Eddie Kane, into the world on 20th October 2014.  He weighed 9lb 12oz - now we know why Kerry was so huge!  Mother and baby are both doing really well and Billy is now a very proud big brother.  We look forward to having a big cuddle soon.

Diwali Celebrations

The children on both sides of the nursery have been celebrating the festival of Diwali this week. They have been dressing up with an assortment of costumes and jewellery in the Imaginative room & our very own sari shop. The children have also been creating their own Rangoli patterns with colouring pens, pencils and rice.
